Introduction As part of the MLD programme clusters are given their own group in the online network to use as an area to hold online discussions, access learning materials and upload resources specifically for the cluster. This guide contains instructions on how to perform the main tasks involved in managing your online cluster group.

NB. Online cluster groups will be created during the rollout of the programme during the autumn of 2010 and spring of 2011 on request. When your cluster group is created your cluster participants will be added as members in the group. You will be set up as an administrator for the group. As an administrator you have the ability to create and edit notices and activities.

All participants on MLDP should have access to the MLDP:Participant Community 2010/11, whilst facilitators also have access to the MLDP:Facilitator Community. In addition each cluster will have a cluster group named appropriately for their cluster.

Leave the published box ticked if you want group members to see the notice immediately. Untick the box to hide from view. You can then publish the notice when you want it to be seen by the cluster group members by editing the notice and ticking the publish box 3 Click the Create Notice button to save the notice. The notice will now be displayed on the overview page.
