spans 14 hours. All this is possible because of God’s grace, provision and my wife’s understanding and her wholehearted support! Meeting my wife, Isabella, was God’s orchestrated divine appointment in planting my salvation. Prior to knowing my Lord and Savior - Jesus, I was a self reliant person leaning only on my own strength, my own effort and my own wisdom. To me, Christianity was only an excuse for people’s failure. I met Isabella, then girlfriend at my first job after college graduation. She was and still is definitely “eye-candy”, at least by my standard. I found myself always looking at her with one eye while making sure she didn’t know I was looking at her with my other eye. And then, there was a breakthrough when she invited me to a young adult bible study. I hesitated a bit but I decided to go with her thinking she invited me because she liked me. As I arrived at the bible fellowship, it was a normal gathering of people fellowshipping and sharing a meal together. After the meal, the bible study session begun. I thought to myself “this is not too bad; it’s a small sacrifice to win her heart…” But as the evening progressed, it got weirder and stranger. As the bible study concluded,
님을 알기 전에는 저는 자신의 힘과 노력과 지혜만을 의지하는, 저 자신만을 믿는 사람이었습니다. 저에게 있어서 기독교 신앙은 사람들이 자신들의 실패에 대해 하는 변명일 뿐이었습니다. 대학을 졸업하고 가진 첫 직장에서 지금의 아내를 만났습니다. 아내는 그때나 지금이나 저의 눈을 즐겁 게 해주는 여자입니다. 적어도 제 기준에서는 말입니 다. 그 당시 저는 언제나 한 쪽 눈으로는 아내가 제가 보고 있다는 걸 눈치채지 않았나 확인하면서 다른 한 쪽 눈으로는 아내를 쳐다보고 있었습니다. 그러다가 드디어 아내가 저를 청년부 성경공부에 초대를 하는 획기적인 발전이 있었습니다. 처음에는 좀 망설였었지 만 아내가 저를 좋아했기 때문에 초대한 것이라는 생 각에 가기로 결심을 했습니다. 성경공부 자리에 도착 하니 사람들이 모여서 평범하게 교제를 나누고 식사를 하고 있었습니다. 식사가 끝나고 성경공부가 시작 되 었습니다. 저는 속으로 “그렇게 나쁘지 않은데..
