T

he 4-mile road race and 3-mile fitness walk will take place on February 14 at 10 a.m. in Stratford. All proceeds from the 19th Annual YMCA Sweetheart Run will benefit the Stratford YMCA Campaign. After the race, participants are invited to hang out inside the hall at Boothe Park and enjoy post race refreshments and awards. In addition to the traditional team awards, awards will also be presented to the top male and female overall, the top three runners in nine individual age group categories, and age division awards to the male/female teams in each of 12 age divisions. If you plan on running as a male/female team, please include your partner’s name on the entry form. No arguments or lovers spats on race day; save them for your private times. If you should split before the race, we’ll try and match runners up on race morning. The registration donation by February 1 is $20 and $25 afterward. Students are $10 and $12, respectively. The fee for the 3-Mile Fitness Walk is $10 by February 1 and $12 afterward and on race day. Online registration closes February 11 at midnight.
