T

he 52 Peak Club will host its third annual 52 Peak Party from 6 to 10 p.m., May 3, celebrating the accomplishments of members like 75-year-olds David Blackshaw, Ted Williams and Rita Wagner, who recently climbed 52 peaks to earn their certification. The party includes a sit-down dinner, awards, $2,500 in prizes, dancing and a cash bar. The 52 Peak Club, created by Branch Whitney, conducts 60 to 90 hikes per month, ranging from beginner to advanced, year-round. Members range in age from 18 to 75 and climb the best 52 Peaks around Las Vegas. Each time they stand at the peak, they earn a card. New Healing Modality Available in Las Vegas

M

ayan shaman and spiritual reader Profesora Sorayda now offers new Reiki Sound, a healing art based on the channeling and transmission of universal energy by means of laying on of the hands. Sorayda uses Reiki Sound “to harmonize our physical and spiritual beings” and to promote positivity, relaxation and good health. “It is a way to recover inner power by connecting to the source by means of the presence I AM, producing a deep sense of peace,” she says. “It is a way of working energetically; starting with the premise that we are all geometry, color and sound. We draw, visualize and sing symbols. Sound is used consciously to give more power and depth to healing.” According to Sorayda, “Reiki Sound brings a very deep level of wholeness and well-being. When a person undergoes a session, they take into themselves energy and its maximum vibration to beneficial effects. It’s very effective for stressrelated disorders such as anxiety and depression.” For more information call 702-5562900 or email Sorayda@live.com. See ad, page 31.
