the dream

a policy to

go green

The Buried Life, a hugely popular MTV series, focuses on 4 friends (Duncan, Ben, Dave, and Jonnie) as they travel across North America in a purple transit bus to complete a list of “100 things to do before you die.”Everywhere they go they ask the question: What do you want to do before you die? Speaking on the power of positivity, going after life goals and random acts of kindness, be sure to catch them while they’re hot with the MTV show season premiere starting this September 27th!

Making a difference in the world starts at home. Each and every one of us needs to act upon our responsibilities as citizens in order to create change. Some of these include: Former UN Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, Stephen Lewis; Humanitarian, Lieutenant General Roméo Dallaire (Ret.); Free the Children founders, Craig and Marc Kielburger; and War Child Founder, Dr. Samantha Nutt.

More than ever before, schools are adopting their own green strategies and why wouldn’t they? A great topic during Environmental Awareness week, going green is a factor that must always be taken into account. Expert speakers on the subject include: Jay Ingram, host of Discovery’s Daily Planet; Dr. Patrick Moore, founding member of Greenpeace, currently Chair and Chief Scientist of the environmental consulting firm Greenspirit Strategies; Chris Turner, award winning author of The Geography of Hope; and David Suzuki, award-winning scientist, environmentalist and broadcaster.
