HONORING JASON NHF recently named Garrett Hayes the first-ever recipient of our Jason Fulton Memorial Leadership Fund award. This fund honors the memory of Jason Fulton, a hemophilia patient who tragically passed of AIDS at the young age of 24. The fund is used to support internship opportunities with NHF for current and former members of the National Youth Leadership Institute (NYLI). Its purpose is to empower young leaders who demonstrate qualities like Jason: determination, passion, and work ethic, especially in support of the blood and bleeding disorders community. Through this fund, Jason's vibrant leadership lives on. Each fund recipient will carry a bit of Jason with them forever. "NHF is thrilled to support such deserving and resilient young leaders like Garrett in furthering their education," said Dr. Valentino. "Garrett embodies the same bright future and accomplishments of Jason and will proudly represent his continuing legacy." continued on next page
