Cullman EC wins communications awards Cullman Electric Cooperative won four Awards of Excellence in the 2013 Alabama Rural Electric Association communications contest. Cullman EC took home awards for the best local section in Alabama Living magazine, the best employee newsletter and the best “wild card” entry for the 2013 Calendar and Member Handbook. Grady Smith won best column writing for his April 2012 piece on the one-year anniversary of the 2011 tornado outbreak. The contest is open to all 22 electric cooperatives in the state.

Linemen Appreciation Day

Volunteer Fire Department donations

The Cullman Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees made donations recently to the volunteer fire departments in Cullman County and Winston County. Left, Joe Golden accepts a check for $7,500 to the Cullman County Volunteer Fire Department Association. Right, Jeff Marksberry accepts a check for $2,500 to the Winston County Volunteer Fire Department Association.
