“After years of calling on a WBENC Corporate Member, he recently signed a contract and specifically mentioned he appreciated our persistence in calling on him in person. More than 90% of our business is with WBENC Corporate Members, and I would never have had the opportunity to meet them had it not been for WBENC’s National Conferences. I appreciate that WBENC provides the corporate access we would not otherwise have had. For me, the success of WBENC is like an insurance policy.”

“Participating in the 2010 Conference in Atlanta resulted in relationships with key members of Fortune 500 corporations providing us with mentoring opportunities, increased business, and media opportunities. Not only did we broaden our reach, but presenting to potential clients became more of a relationship-building approach rather than an introductory presentation.”

Terri McNally-Beals, President/CEO, Global Capital

“WBENC’s WIB2010 Conference in Atlanta ignited relationships that we have developed to increase our pipeline by over 40% in one year! One contact at The Coca-Cola Company helped Arbill to increase our spend and support our partnership.”

“Accel, Inc.’s sponsorship of WBENC’s WIB 2010 Conference in Atlanta resulted in an enormous amount of exposure to Fortune 500 companies, which increased their awareness of Ac cel’s capability to handle large volumes. This also resulted in a Tier One partnership with Office Depot, where Accel will deliver office supplies to companies with M/WBE goals. We have developed an entire division including sales representatives, a customer service department and a finance department to support the Tier One program.”

Tara Abraham, CEO, Accel Inc. “The Conference in Atlanta was an amazing, life-changing experience. As a 2010 Business Star, I was recognized by so many Corporate Members, I felt like a celebrity… it was fantastic. Fortune 500 companies sat down and listened to my business pitch allowing me to share what OLSA Resources has to offer. At a previous Conference, I obtained a contract from a Corporate Member, which increased my business revenue by 25%. Since then, I’ve been able to grow my business by 50%.”

Olsa Martin, President, OLSA Resources

LaSonya Berry, President, McPherson, Berry & Associates, Inc.

Julie Copeland, President and CEO, Arbill “I had only been WBENC certified for about a year when I attended the WBENC Conference in Miami, where I met the Director of Vendor Relations for the County of Fairfax, Virginia, which subsequently led to a business opportunity. Through this company I received a referral, which led to a business contract with Ameren, another Fortune 500 company.”

Pamela Hardy, President, Owe No Man Marketing “The WBENC Conference in Atlanta enabled us to develop a relationship with a WBE who has become a strategic sourcing partner for expanding our offerings to our highest-value client. We are finalizing the contract with our client for a deal that will potentially result in a 10-15% increase in revenue depending on our ability to accelerate our ramp-up time.”

Kanchana Raman, President, Avion Systems
