Artist Statement As an absolute photo beginner, Photography is one of the interesting medium to express my thoughts and visions. My artistic work has always been connected and influenced by all the special things in my life, the special things that I love so much are something old or traditional. Through my photos I have the possiblitity to tell stories about such special things. The themes of the human being, human architecture and nature in connection are very often found in my photo works. Nature is the one who is always in contact with the human, human is the one who is always inspired buy nature. I have always been interested to capturing the wonderful moment of the fragile relation between human being, human architecture and nature. These things are always influenced my life and my mind. What I wanted to do is through my eyes and works to introduce the wonderful world of colours and forms that created cooperatively by human and nature. The theme of nature and human in connection with the forms and colours are often found in my works. This photo was taken in South Korea. I was travelling around the traditional palace and being infatuated with the beactiful old buildings and garderns. This is Gyeongbokgung, also known as Gyeongbokgung Palace that is a royal palace located at the heart of newly appointed capital of Seoul. It was the main and large palace of the 5 Grand Palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty. It continued to serve as the spirit of korean nationality and the greatness of human architecture. This photo shows a moment of the reenactment of the changing of the Royal Guard in front of the gate with the bright sunshine from the front gate. The atmosphere, shape, form and colour are created by the effects of timing and forming in order to deliver the concept that is the connection between human being, human architecture and nature in a visual format to the eye of beholder.
