Design Program Details • • • • • •

Sustainable design is achieved by retaining much of the existing vegetation on site (wooded areas) Native xeriscape gardens are located on each property, further encouraging sustainability by reducing need for excess watering Each property contains three raised planters for vegetable/herb gardens, which encourage community involvement Parallel parking on the street is offered to maximize space Walkways paved with permeable surfaces are located throughout the site to allow for closer connection to the surrounding environment Rear parking allows for houses to be featured along the main access street (Dogwood Lane); shared driveways are used to maximize land use

Anchor Bible Church Planting Proposal A commissioned planting design for Anchor Bible Church located in Hull, Georgia. The design was installed during the summer of 2017.

Biblical symbolism drove the creation of this design. The three sweet olives placed adjacent to the central crape myrtle reflect the Holy Trinity, three in one. The azaleas in front bloom bright red to represent Christ’s blood shed for all, while the white blooms of the gardenia conveys forgiveness of sins.

Native Planting Study The planting design for the bank below required a plant palette of species native to the piedmont regions of Georgia.

Bank Planting Plan & Schedule

The plants chosen for the design also served several different ecological functions, including nesting sites for native birds, caterpillar food, pollen and nectar producers, and even food for mammals. Some of the plants provide fall color, shade during the summer, and flowers during several seasons.

Residence Renderings

Located in Peachtree City, Georgia, this residence is more than a house; it is home. Home is where I learned to ride a bike, got my first puppy, and first discovered my love for the outdoor environment. Home is truly where the heart is.

The Herrmann Family Residence

Nestled in the mountains of North Georgia, the Schram Family Cabin provides the perfect getaway from urban life. The property is just up the road from a mountainside cidery, and nearby to the beautiful town of Elijay.
