For your family’s medical needs, you’ll find a range of GP surgeries in the area. The Castleford Medical Practice and Riverside Medical Centre are both just seven minutes’ drive from Verve, while Pinfold Surgery is just eight minutes away.

RSPB Fairburn Ings is a site steeped in heritage and perfect for a family day out. From bird watching to pond dipping, there are lots of activities for all ages to enjoy throughout the year. You’ll find one of Yorkshire’s favourite children’s attractions, Diggerland, is just eight minutes from home by car. The family can ride giant diggers and dumper trucks, and take the wheel of their own mini diggers, go-karts and more. Whether you’re an extreme thrillseeker or just want to take in a movie and enjoy a meal, there is something for everyone at Xscape Yorkshire. Just six minutes’ drive from Verve, Xscape has a number of sports activities on offer. From rock climbing and trampolining, to skiing and snowboarding, every thrillseeker will find something to excite them here. And the choice of restaurants and leisure activities including adverture golf and 4D cinema will mean there’s plenty to enjoy for all ages.

Your local dental practice is Bupa Dental Care Castleford, which is just a six-minute drive from home and is taking new patients. For fitness and wellbeing, Xercise4Less Gym Castleford is just five minutes’ drive from Verve, offering state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment as part of a monthly membership. Your local swimming pool is Normanton, which is nine minutes away by car, where you can book swimming lessons for all ages or enjoy a waterbased fitness class or leisure swim. If you’re looking for something different, why not try martial arts? You’ll find Chuldow Martial Arts Castleford is just a three-minute drive from home.

Shopping

There is a selection of great local schools in Glasshoughton, including the Half Acres Primary Academy and Ackton Pastures Primary School, both of which are just a five-minute drive from home.

For grocery shopping, there is an Asda Superstore and Morrisons, both just five minutes away by car.

For 11-18 year olds there are a number of options, including the St Wilfred’s Catholic High School & Sixth Form Academy, just two minutes away by car or a 20-minute walk. Castleford Academy is also just a six-minute drive away, or 15 minutes by bus. For higher education, the University of Leeds is ranked 13th best in the UK and is just a 23-minute drive from Glasshoughton. The University of Bradford is also just 30 minutes away by car.

Getting around The M62 is just five minutes from Verve, meaning you have fast and easy access to major UK towns and cities, including Bradford (32 minutes), Manchester (One hour seven minutes) and Hull (52 minutes). For train travel you’ll find your local station, Glasshoughton, is just four minutes from home and runs regular Northern Rail services to Leeds and Knottingly. For travelling further afield, you’ll find Leeds central station is just 20-minutes from home by car, from where you can reach a range of UK cities by train including London (2 hours 30 minutes), Birmingham (2 hours), Sheffield (40 minutes) and Manchester (50 minutes). When it comes to traveling abroad, whether it’s for a family holiday or business trip, you’ll find Leeds Bradford airport is a 45-minute drive from Verve and offers a range of international flights.

Castleford town centre has a number of high street retailers, from Marks and Spencer and Argos, to Boots and Poundland. You’ll also find the popular Junction 32 Outlet Shopping Village, opposite Xscape and just six minutes from Verve, offers up to 60% discount on a range of well known brands, from Adidas and Barbour to Jack Wills and Next. Want to make a day of it? Why not head into Leeds city centre, just 25 minutes’s drive away, which has some of the best shopping in the north. The Geneva is a three bedroom home designed over three floors, with an open-plan living space and luxurious master bedroom.

The Geneva's ground floor lounge, dining and kitchen area has a bright and airy feel, with large French doors leading onto the back garden. There is a downstairs cloakroom and understairs storage. The first floor provides two generously-sized double bedrooms and a family bathroom with Villeroy & Boch suite. There is an airing cupboard for extra storage.

Internal designs


Kitchens Every home we build has a contemporary kitchen with stainless steel sink, mixer tap, electric oven and extractor fan, stainless steel splashback and ceramic hob. You can also choose from a range of tiles or glass splashbacks to further customise your kitchen.


Bathrooms & ensuites The modern bathrooms and ensuites feature sanitaryware by Villeroy and Boch. The cloakrooms, bath suites and shower trays are all in timeless white with fixtures and fittings such as taps in stainless steel.

Central heating and efficiency New homes are approximately 65% more energy efficient, according to the Home Builders Federation. Our homes are designed to be as energy efficient as possible with better ventilation and insulation, quality windows, reduced noise transmission, and increase fire and electrical safety. All fitted appliances are energy efficient as standard. Every home is fitted with gas central heating and modern boiler as standard.

Fixtures & fittings Our homes are finished to a high standard with oak veneer internal doors throughout. There are two or three television and telephone points, and smoke detectors are fitted as standard. The rooms in your our homes are decorated in neutral colours to give you the flexibility to personalise the interior design to suit you in your own time.

Warranties Our homes are built and finished to the National House Building Council standard and are covered by a 10-year Buildmark warranty. This is the UK’s leading insurance cover for new homes. For the first two years we will take care of issues with central heating, roof or structure of your new home and any other agreed areas such as water services. All kitchen appliances are covered by a two-year manufacturer's warranty. Once your new home is built and ready to move in, you will be invited to join us for a guided tour of your new home, during which we will demonstrate all the appliances and systems within and you can ask any questions you might have ahead of your move. On moving day you’ll receive a comprehensive homeowner’s handbook.

Outside Our home designs are considered inside and out, right down to the ďŹ nest detail. Each of our home designs has a statement front door with contemporary handle, door number and knocker. Many have overhead canopies with wall-mounted door lights or ceiling mounted lights in the porch and UPVC windows in cream or grey. The front gardens are landscaped with a tarmac or block paved driveway. Rear gardens are enclosed for privacy and fencing is ďŹ nished in a stylish dark brown wood stain.

Security We value your safety. All external doors have a multipoint locking system included as standard and locks on all windows. There are viewing holes on the front door for extra security. You can choose to upgrade your home with an advanced home security system for added piece of mind
