What is really missed in London is time. Permanent lack of free time, work and career orientated life, stress and no occasion to rest, Londoners necessitate the break. On the conceptual side of the project, the meaning of shelter is more abstract, than tangible. Its connotation with the word ‘protection’ redirects the physical sense of it as a place to be at, into a virtual sense: as an escape. In the city like London, intense, fast and busy, where seems like there is no time to slow down, the design tries to create a city oasis, a place to relax, calm and rest, a shelter from the city busyness and rush, work and people. Also because of the bad weather condition and luck of sun(shine) shelter will recreate the countryside forest atmosphere, sounds of the woods, fresh air, optimal temperature (reference: Tate Modern Sun room). The intention is to create the spa of the kind, leisure time place, summer atmosphere, TRAVEL WITHOUT TRAVELING.
