KEI Kashmir Education Initiative (KEI®) is a volunteer-driven philanthropic organization with a focus on education in Kashmir, India. KEI promotes “Excellence in Education” by supporting education of talented and deserving youth at various grade levels who can’t otherwise support continuing their education on their own. KEI identifies and evaluates such youth and then promotes and monitors their educational development and progress. KEI also partners with non-profits around the world to support furthering educational initiatives for the benefit of Kashmiri youth.
Current Projects Scholarships After successfully running a pilot scholarship project in 2007, KEI has since sponsored tuition of hundreds of meritorious and needy children in Kashmir. Every year, these students are selected after a well defined screening process whereby academic performance, student’s unique abilities, and individual financial needs are taken into consideration. These KEI scholars have performed brilliantly in the state level examinations board exams with most scoring distinction grades. Some Scholars have been accepted in Medicine and Engineering degree programs. KEI is determined to extend this program to more children over the coming years.
