Section W-6P Conclave This year’s Conclave on Kauai was a blast. It was said to have been the “best ever”. Those who attended from Maluhia Lodge were Kahua, Nash, Keola, and our Lodge Advisor Scott. Nash and Kahua worked staff and it turned our to be a great event. This year’s attendance was the biggest with just about 90 Arrowmen! Some of the special guests included, the Region 4 Chief, Joe Garcia, and other various guests from mainland Lodges. At Conclave this year, there were great classes, shows, and activities. While at Conclave a Section Officers Election was also held. By the end Andrew Cowland was named Section Chief, Bronsten Kossow was named Section Vice Chief and Ryan Greenlee was named Section Secretary. Overall Conclave was an awesome event. Next years 2012 Conclave will be held around the same time on the Big Island, so plan on going.

This September Meeting we had a great turn-out. Altogether there were 11 arrowmen and 4 adult leaders. During the meeting 3 new Lodge Officers were elected. Those elected were:

Kahua Julian—Lodge Chief Nash Wuthrich—Lodge Vice Chief Secretary Jacy Maxwell—Lodge Vice Chief of Operations Congratulations to our new officers for the 20122013 year!

Committees NEEDED Our new Lodge officers have decided that Committees are needed within the lodge. Each of the Committees will be tasked to keep track of and execute the tasks given to them. Committees that we will need to fill with leaders are, but are not limited to Finances, Ceremonies, and Activities. If you are interested in being apart of one of these committees, please contact Kahua, or send us a message on the Facebook.

2012 National Order of the Arrow Conference See Page 2

Order of the Arrow Obligation I do hereby promise, on my honor as a Scout, that I will always and faithfully observe and preserve the traditions of the Order of the Arrow, Wimachtendienk, Wingolauchsik, Witahemui. I will always regard the ties of brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow as lasting, and will seek to preserve a cheerful spirit, even in the midst of irksome tasks and weighty responsibilities, and will endeavor, so far as in my power lies, to be unselfish in service and devotion to the welfare of others.

The 2012 National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) will be one of your most memorable Scouting experiences. NOAC 2012 will be held at Michigan State University from July 30 through August 4, 2012 and is projected to be one of the largest in the Order’s history with more than 8,000 Arrowmen in attendance. NOAC is pretty much the OA version of a Jamboree. Scouts from all of the place, but not nearly as many people like the Jamboree. Maluhia Lodge is planning to send a group of Arrowmen with the Na Mokupuni O' Lawelawe Lodge as a Contingent to the 2012 NOAC. If you are interested, contact the Kahua Julian or Scott Neerings to sign up today. Visit www.event.oa-bsa.org for more information and to learn about NOAC 2012. Remember NOAC 2012 is less than a year away! So start planning now!
