Mr. Mirza has been the Chief Executive Officer since 2011 and a board member since 2013 of Atheeb NetSol, a company that has grown significantly and is now recognized as one of the major players in the IT sector of Saudi Arabia. Prior, he was Executive Vice President-Business Development at NetSol Technologies (Pakistan) until he was asked to lead the newly-created joint venture between NetSol
Q: What value does the partnership bring your company? A: “The Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) standards in Saudi Arabia are still growing and regulating this field is still a work in process in the different industry
sectors. However, companies in the financial sector have to report about their compliance standards as well as their compliance and risk mitigation controls and risk reporting. The BWise partnership brings us value because we are now able to provide a full GRC package to the financial sector. We now offer the financial services sector a complete range of consulting and services including information security ISO 27000, VA/ PT, Service management ISO 20000, ITIL based practices and compliance to other standards. We are also equipped to help them with system integration, resource outsourcing and bespoke application development among other hardware and software needs. With the BWise® GRC Platform we can now target their enterprise governance, risk management and compliance needs as well as IT GRC needs which we believe is the need of the hour with ever-increasing regulatory compliance requirements. Q: What were the most successful joint endeavors so far? A: “Considering that the partnership started last year, we are in a phase right now of working together to explore and develop the market as well as to create awareness in the market. BWise has been very supportive with this. We have built up a list of joint target customers and in the last 6 to 8 months we have done a lot of work together to build awareness for enterprise GRC.” “For example, we co-hosted a very successful Roundtable in Riyadh with BWise”, continued Mr. Mirza. “During the roundtable, industry experts exchanged best practices, practical advice and experiences about GRC implementations. The Roundtable brought more than 30 C-level Risk Management and Compliance executives from the region together for discussions about the top risks and challenges organizations are facing.”

Q: In terms of the partnership with BWise, what is your role and what responsibilities do you manage? A: “We had been looking for the right partner for more than a year when we identified BWise for its Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) expertise. BWise has a dedicated sales director in this region which has helped to develop our partnership. Together with the team we have weekly meetings to explore joint business possibilities and discuss marketing initiatives. The relationship between BWise and Atheeb has developed into a nice partnership that was formalized in 2013 and there is now a strong financial services sector pipeline for 2014. We also see a lot of interest from other industries like the telecom industry. What I have found very important so far is the strong commitment and support from BWise to us as a partner and to this region.”
Other successful joint endeavors examples are MIRZA the multiple joint meetings and demonstrations of the BWise platform with many prospects resulting in a solid pipeline for 2014. What is great as well, is that due to the created market awareness, we were also invited by the regulators to present at their event. Q: How do you see the partnership evolving in the years to come? A: “We have built a strong partner relationship and we will start to discuss how we can provide localized solutions to serve the need of IT GRC in the Arab region. We see this field as a growing marketplace. Both the IT industry and the technology needs are growing. At the same time we see certain rules and regulations are being implemented rapidly. With BWise, we believe that we have found a strong, long-term partner focusing on mutually building up the business successfully in KSA.

Typically buyers follow complex selection processes to find that specific vendor who offers the best software technology as well as the best implementation services. However, developing a software solution requires quite different expertise than being able to implement it. So actually it is not possible to have the best of both worlds in the same vendor which also operates globally.

BWISE ACADEMY VINCENT PERQUIN The BWise Academy is the educational resource for BWise Knowledge Partners. All new Knowledge Partners have to certify their BWise Implementation Consultants. Support on both technical issues and functional questions. Our Support Center is also your point of contact for handling license requests required for the BWise software installation. Support Registration System Certified Partners have access to the Online Service Desk (OSD), the online version of our Support Registration System. This enables partners to log and trace incidents and change requests on their own behalf as well as on behalf of the end customer. Knowledge Base The OSD also provides access to the Online Knowledge Base.
