AIR FLOW The design re-criculates facility air in a smooth uniform flow, creating up to a 90% seal on the doorway.

Enershield Air Barriers create an effective seal on the doorway by re-circulating the facility air in a laminar (smooth) flow across an open doorway. The kinetic energy in the moving air generates a barrier, like a waterfall, that prevents leakage of air between two areas with different pressure and climate. The more laminar this air flow, the harder it is for outside air to penetrate the barrier.

Open doors account for a considerable amount of the energy loss in a building. A correctly installed Air Barrier can seal off an open doorway, and reduce the cooling loss through the door as much as 90%, translating into substantial energy savings. Temprite Coalescent Oil Separators

A combination of innovative technology and superior design and manufacturing makes Temprite coalescent oil separators the most energy-efficient separators available. Oil is essential to refrigeration but refrigerant gas can carry oil throughout the system where it coats heat exchangers, impedes system components and reduces the level of refrigerant mass flow, resulting in downtime and higher operating costs. • In most systems, the pumping rate of oil to refrigerant can average from 3% to 5% of the total mass. • Temprite coalescent oil separators are specifically designed to remove oil from the refrigerating system and return it to the compressor.

Temprite Technology

All Temprite coalescent oil separators are equipped with the Temprite Standard Filter. The Standard Filter uses a matrix-type borosilicate glass fiber material to do the work formerly done by impingement screens in conventional oil separators. Illustration #1: Oil Separator Cross Section Oil-Laden Refrigerant Gas

Illustration #1 shows how a coalescent oil separator moves oil-laden refrigerant gas into the filter and through the separator. In the separator, oil droplets over 100 um separate from the refrigerant gas flow as they enter the filter. These larger, heavier droplets accumulate at the edge of the filter and then fall into the Wet Zone, collecting at the bottom of the separator where the clean oil is returned to the compressor. The clean, oil-free refrigerant gas moves upward through the separator and out to the condenser. • Temprite coalescent oil separators separate and clean oil at a nominal 98.5%+ efficiency level. • Coalescent oil separators maintain the same level of effectiveness down to 20% of maximum flow. Illustration #2 shows a cross-section of a Temprite Standard Filter. System pressure moves

the refrigerant oil in aerosol form outward from the center of the filter. The filter’s borosilicate fiber matrix causes the aerosolized oil to vibrate and collide with other oil molecules, creating bigger oil droplets. As the oil droplets are pushed to the outer edges of the filter by refrigerant flow, the accumulated droplets fall to the bottom of the separator through gravitational setting.

Temprite Conventional Oil Separators The 500 and 600 Series are impingement screen conventional oil separators. In these units, the compressed mass flow enters a larger separator chamber, lowering the velocity of the mass. Oil droplets in aerosol form collect on the impingement screen surface and as the oil droplets become larger, they fall to the bottom of the separator oil reservoir. • 500 Series models are accessible for filter changing and 600 Series units are hermetic. Oil Management Temprite oil management components are designed to maintain a stable oil pressure system with a minimum of maintenance and monitoring, including oil level controls, both mechanical and electronic; oil return floats; and four sizes of oil reservoirs. All Temprite products carry the UL, cUL, CRN and CE certifications.* * The 930 and 930R do not have CRN; the 930R ASME does. The 139A ASME version is awaiting Canadian approval.
