Exploring Yoga 4th Annual Weekend Retreat Sept. 30th Oct. 1, 2nd, 2011

Join Nancy Cherewayko for a weekend of yoga, with guest musician Beth Martens leading a Kirtan Nancy is certified by the Yoga Centre Winnipeg as an instructor, and has studied yoga under the guidance of many skilled teachers. Nancy's down to earth nature lends itself to a teaching style that is practical and approachable. This year’s yoga retreat will be a balance between yin and yang. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues of the body, the ligaments and bones as well as the body’s many joints. With the use of a 5 inch ball and long holds we will be able to open and release into the poses creating a much deeper sensation. Our yang nature being more muscular, we will connect through asanas such as standing poses. Open to all levels of practice regardless of your experience. Back by popular demand, this year’s guest presenter will be Musician/Yogini Beth Martens. Beth, with her guitar will lead us in a Kirtan. Kirtan is traditional Sanskrit call-and-response chanting performed in India's devotional traditions. This rhythmic experience will soothe your soul, help ground and center yourself, and can lead to a profound state of meditation. See more about Beth and Kirtan’s on her web. www.bethmartens.com Held at Laureate’s Landing in St. Norbert is only 20 minutes from downtown Winnipeg, along the Red River. The pristine grounds of this secluded and tranquil environment make it the perfect place to remove all the distractions of daily life and provide an atmosphere to relax, reflect and renew.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away. - Hilary Cooper For more information contact: Nancy Cherewayko be1breath@gmail.com
