HOW YOU’VE MADE A DIFFERENCE We’ve been working hard to drive progress over the last 12 months and, together with our members, we’ve celebrated some significant achievements. • Led the campaign on school funding, resulting in the main three political parties pledging to increase future spending on schools • Secured an additional £700m for High Needs Funding for 2020-21 • Secured £4.4bn to pay for increased employers pension costs • Persuaded government to scrap the floor and coasting standards • Secured funded support (instead of sanction) for schools in challenging circumstances • Forced Ofsted to scrap proposals for the introduction of on-site inspection preparation

• Worked with government to shape the introduction of statutory relationships and health education in primary schools


• Secured a 2.75% pay increase for school leaders • Worked with government to secure commitment to national roll-out of a fully funded Early Career Framework providing two years’ mentoring and support for every NQT.
