TERREL BRAMWELL
CCAA ATHLETE OF THE YEAR Men’s Volleyball
Varsity Info
Months after the final ball hit the floor in Humber’s CCAA Championship winning match; teams across Canada are still wondering how to possibly stop the nation’s top player Terrel Bramwell. Bramwell was nothing short of brilliant in the CCAA tournament collecting MVP honours and setting tournament and match records for kills and points as he led Humber to their first Volleyball National title. During the season there was no one in the vicinity of his kills per set. Terrel averaged 5.67 kills per set, more than twice as many as his next closest competitor. Bramwell was also named the OCAA Player of the Year as well as an All Canadian for the second time. In each of his full seasons with the Hawks he has been the OCAA’s top scorer and this season was no different. 2011-12 will forever be remembered as the year that Humber won their first volleyball national title and everyone will know who the catalyst was that got them there.

In three years with Humber Keyla Moreno has racked up an impressive amount of accolades. She has been the OCAA scoring champion twice, the OCAA Player of the Year twice, two all Canadian designation and has had a number of team successes including 2 Ontario titles and 2 CCAA Bronzes. This year she took another step to cement her legacy as one of Humber’s soccer greats as she was named the CCAA Player of the Year for Women’s Soccer. This season Keyla notched six goals in eight games during the regular season. In the playoffs she showed how clutch she could truly be as she scored the game winner late in the OCAA semifinals. In the final she scored the go ahead goal in the penalty shootouts which Humber eventually won to claim their second straight title. Keyla will surely go to the Humber Hall of Fame but this honour will likely have her go down as one of the greatest of all time.
