PROYECTOS

Espacio Capricho [ Proyecto de fin de carrera ]

REFORMA VIVIENDA

EDIFICIO GIRASOL [ Salvador Soria arquitectura ]

PLAZA DE ESPAÑA [ Proyecto urbanístico ] Junto a: Malgorzata Roehlich Alberto Lozano Rico

Not only the small number of flats to rent, its expensive prices or the lack of ecological updates, but also the old way of distribution they have according to past family standars, make these living topic a first line problem for architects to take care of. Starting from this situation we have focus our attention in 3 main ideas: Sta + Undesrtanding the courtyards to organise the space by using them as meeting points and light sources. + On the ground floor we connect both Via Laietana and Victor Balaguer Square creating a streetmarket space inside the building. + According to the diversity of society and the variety of family standards existing nowadays wepropose a huge number of different housing typologies

From our point of view architecture should never be conceived as an extra factor to be considered while planning a site, but as a dynamic and crucial agent of the evolution and development of a society. Adaptability and simplicity of construction let people the chance to create their own spaces and adapt them through time and needs. We keep that idea in mind, when facing the challenge of proposing a useful infrastructure to improve everyday life of the inhabitants of the villages surrounding the site. During the design process we focus on this idea by creating a simple space with materials and construction methods from the site. A place where everyone could get in and adapt architecture to their needs, creating a stage where everything could happen. The building, consists of three different rooms connected by two infrastructure bands, where supplies and installations are located. This distribution could be seen from the top view, where interior-exterior connection it’s also shown. Infrastructure bands were displayed in order to concentrate the tanks where rain water is collected. We defined two different types of them. On the one hand those destined to bathroom and shower facilities, which only need water to be kept for its coming use. On the other hand, those connected with the kitchen should also have place for a second machine where water is cleaned to make it available for human consume. Another important used of these bands its their role in the ventilation of the community center. Thanks to their different height and geometry air could get into the main rooms and achieve an extra supply apart of the one coming through the doors and windows located all around the facade. The three main rooms of the project are connected by a main corridor that cross the building completely from left to right. Those spaces are conceived as follows: MEDIA ROOM This area, on the left part of the top view, could be divided into two spaces by the main corridor of the building. Thanks to that more than one activity could be carried out at the same time. ATELIER This room, located on the right side of the construction, is the one where workshops and lessons take place. It could also be divided by the main corridor although we believe that this area may better be opened creating a big space where lot of people could share their knowledges. COMMUNITY HALL Located in the middle of the building to highlight its role as distributer and condenser of community daily life. It’s also understood as a place for people to spend time doing any kind of activities from having lunch to carry out common meetings or activities.
