AYP Private Schools Option Program Overview: For students who want a traditional homestay exchange experience but would like to attend a private school, AYP offers students the choice of a variety of tuition schools. The student’s application will be submitted for consideration and a member of the AYP Network will determine if they will be a good fit at one of the private schools available. If there is an opening at the school and the student is accepted, the national office will follow up with the student’s agency. Students often choose to pay tuition to attend a private school because doing so usually allows them to know their placement location at an earlier date than if they had chosen to attend a public school. Students can attend a American private school through the Academic Year Program in one of six states. Learn more about the six states below and on the next page. Schools listed are past examples of NOD AYP private schools. None listed have guaranteed openings.
