Your child will learn about place value to 1,000. They will learn to read, write, and model numbers as well as compare them. At home go on a scavenger hunt with your child to find 3 – digit numbers. Ask your child to read the number out loud and tell how many hundreds, tens, and ones they see.
Your child will learn about President’s Day. They will also learn about life in NYC 100 years ago. At home, ask your child to draw a picture showing what life was like 100 years ago in NYC. Invite them to discuss the similarities and differences.
Your child will continue to learn about forces and motion. They will begin to understand the effects of gravity and magnetism. At home, ask your child to draw examples showing force and motion.
