A Month of Learning
Your child will learn about animals everywhere. They will learn about how animals’ bodies help them, how they help each other, how they survive in nature, and about insects. At home encourage your child to read every day write sentences about what they have read.
Your child will learn about two-digit addition and subtraction with regrouping. At home, practice adding and subtracting numbers found around the house. You can find numbers in newspapers, magazines, and boxes of groceries.
Your child will learn about President’s Day. They will also learn about family values and what makes each family unique. At home, ask your child to compare their family to another family they know. Have them discuss what makes their family unique.
Your child will learn about animals and how they adapt to their environments to survive. They will also learn to describe animal life cycles. At home, ask your child to draw a picture of an animal life cycle they have learned about.
