My St Margarets Welcome to the second edition of the My St Margaret’s magazine. HAVING HAD SUCH AN OVERWHELMING RESPONSE TO OUR FIRST EDITION AT CHRISTMAS, WE HAVE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF PAGES BY 50% AND DECIDED TO PUBLISH THE MAGAZINE AT LEAST 3 TIMES EVERY YEAR. The launch of www.mystmargarets.com has proved an exciting few months for the St Margarets Trader’s Association. Not only does the site provide useful information about your local traders but it also offers fantastic, exclusive deals and competitions. Recently, one lucky reader won a fabulous camera worth £700 for just expressing why she loved St Margarets! This magazine not only promotes our local businesses but also features some interesting articles from the community, such as those provided by St Stephens and Orleans Infant Schools on pages 24 and 25, a wonderful fictional story based on a local family of foxes by comedian Milton Jones on page 18 and a very interesting piece by local writer Martyn Day about the Kilmorey Mausoleum on page 16. We are delighted to welcome onboard a host of local experts who will contribute articles to My St Margarets on a variety of topics including food, gardening and antiques. I’ve included their contact details so you can email them directly with questions or ideas for future issues. Summer will be arriving shortly and soon there will be an opportunity to experiment with some al fresco recipes provided by our experts at Armstrong’s and Yellowwedge where all the ingredients can be sourced locally - even the candles to decorate your table are available locally. Don't forget Father's Day on the 20th June, check out our gift suggestions on page 15 for inspirational ideas from your local shops.
