A certified charted accountant, Akhil Kumar Gupta has been serving Bharti Infratel as the Managing Director and Vice President since 2008. He has been associated with strategically and financial significant initiatives of the Company, including the formation of Indus Towers Limited. A believer in the twin virtues of dedication and efficiency, he has worked untiringly towards improving 3G and 4G networks in India. He is presently the Chairman of Tower and Infrastructure Providers Association and the President of the Telecom Sector Skill Council.

Chris Houghton serves as the Head of India Region at Ericsson. He has worked for Ericsson for 25 Years. Together with the team in India he works to extend and strengthen the footprints of the company in the region and to assist the customers in their work to capture value in a rapidly transforming telecoms market. He believes that India is a strategic market for Ericsson and aims to work with full dedication in order to ensure that the company achieves new heights.

Munish has over two decades of rich telecommunications experience and has served in several leadership positions in the industry. A strategic thinker, Munish has been instrumental in introducing innovative business models to help service providers maximize their technology directions and investments. He has held several leadership positions within the organization, before taking over his current role at Alcatel-Lucent. His experience should serve him well given the challenges facing him and his organisation in 2014.

Jeff White is responsible for sales, operations, growth initiatives and investments throughout the India and SAARC region. Under White’s leadership, the region is one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing regions for Cisco. He played a major role in scaling Cisco’s strategic relationships and driving an investment strategy around Cisco’s priority areas. White also spends time working with not- forprofit organisations, raising money for charitable causes.

CEO, Huawei Telecommunications

As the CEO of Huawei Telecommunications, Cai Liqun is responsible for overall business strategies and implementations as well as operational management for the India region. He has worked on Huawei R&D functions developing a variety of products including Wi-Fi, CDMA, WiMAX and Core Network. He is also a member of Huawei’s Global Investment Review Board and feels that one should focus on their goals and put in every effort to achieve them. He loves reading and spends time practicing yoga.
