Baseball and Sweet Romance, YES, PLEASE!By Melinda RI always love Rachel Harris' stories, but this one ... this one moved me. I loved the unique spin Rachel brought to the boy wins girl, boy loses girl, boy realizes he's a dork and MUST win girl back. Everything about this story was raw

and organic. I felt like I was chasing down barrels with the scent of Texas in my nostrils. I now have this incredible urge to find the Galveston Beach house and dig my toes in the same sand as Justin and Peyton. "The Natural History of Us" is one of my 2016 favorite reads and will probably earn top spot of my all-time favorite reads.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Cute but sort of frustratingBy Crystin GoodwinThe romance was cute and swoons, but the alternating PoV chapters combined with alternating flashbacks irritated me. I didn't really care what happened between Peyton and Justin in the past - not enough to interrupt their reconciliation story every other chapter. It felt like it slowed the pace down too much, and drew the plot into something boring. I wish it had been more linear: this is what he did from his PoV, her PoV, now flash forward to senior year and focus on the rest of the journey. Boom. Done.Still, it was cute, and I like that Justin realized he screwed up.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I LOVED The Fine Art of Pretending so I was really ...By Ester MarieI LOVED The Fine Art of Pretending so I was really excited about this.Justin, our guy, appeared in the first book and a lot of people loved him (myself included) that Rachel decided to give him his own happy ending. For me, this book will only appeal to certain types of readers. The plot lies heavily on romance and I only recommend it to people who are suckers for romances like me (haha). It took me a while to get into this and I almost gave up. It was told in two POVs (Justins and Peytons) in two different timeframes (freshman and senior year). It was quite confusing at first but once you get the hang of it, you will realize that it is what made this book special. The contrast and growth in Justin and Peytons character over the years was handled perfectly. You can definitely see how much theyve changed. This book was also surprising in some parts. There were scenes that made my jaw drop (literally!) because they were totally unexpected and I didnt see them coming. Dont get your hopes up, though. It wasnt exactly mind blowing, just unexpected, but great nonetheless. This is only my second Rachel Harris book but I can definitely say that she writes swoon-worthy romances. Its the primary reason why I chose to read this one on Valentines day. This book is perfect when you want to take a break from really complicated and heavy plots. One class assignment. One second chance at love. The school player is all in. Now he needs to win back the sweet commitment girl who's forever owned his heart. "Adorable, funny, and heart-wrenching. This is a book I hugged in my sleep. Absolutely ADORED!" ~Cassie Mae, author ofThe Real Thing"With a swoony boy who won't stop until his girl realizes she's it for him, The Natural History of Us by Rachel Harris is perfect for contemporary YA fans who love second chance romances." ~ Swoony Boys Podcast"OHMYWORD!!!!!! GUYS! If you haven't started this series then you need to. You have no idea what you're missing out on!" ~ A Crave for Books"I love this series so hard. I was so excited we were getting a story about Justin, and it didn't disappoint!!" ~ Bookish Things More"What a young adult, coming of age type romance should be." ~ Typical Distractions
