CLASSROOM NEWS Class 2Han by Dylan P. We are almost done our addition and subtraction to 18 unit in Math. We were using lots of counters and playing math games like “cross the river”. Thank you to the grade 5’s and 6’s for playing their instruments for the grade 2’s. The trumpet was my favorite because I like the sound of it and my brother plays it! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

Class 2Hop by Sadie R. We had Pink Shirt Day. It was a day to stand up to the people who are mean to other people. We stand up for the people who are getting bullied. The whole school wore pink. I am excited for Spring break!

Band Notes by Mr. Skretting I would like to thank the Grade 5 and 6 students for making the trip to the ESO a pleasant, enjoyable event. You were great ambassadors of Jack Stuart School. A big thank you, as well, to Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. French, Mr. Nelson, Mrs. Prestage and Mrs. Wrubleski for taking time out of their day to come with and to any teachers who covered classes for us while we were gone. I am also thankful for the assistance of the following parents for coming along and helping out: Tyson McNalley, Colleen King, Jennifer de Hoog, Stephanie Broz and Lisa Way as official chaperones; and Amanda Hansen, Alison Braaten, Ludmilla Mirejovsky, Janine Pudlowski, Carol Erick, Holly McIndoe and Kim Erickson as unofficial chaperones. The music was great and the students learned how a musical composition is much like a story.
