In Our Memories by Mrs. Sommer
Class 2Han by Caris K.
Our school community is saddened by the passing of former Jack Stuart administrator and teacher, Mrs. Val Quarin on December 27th, 2010. Mrs. Quarin was a member of the first staff at Jack Stuart School and taught here for 25 years. Most recently she spent some time subbing. Mrs. Quarin personified the Jack Stuart School reputation of professionalism, achievement and caring. Her skill and passion for teaching were matched by her commitment to and compassion for students. We all loved her smile and sense of humor.
Happy New Year everybody. A resolution is something you change or try to do better. My resolution is cleaning my room. Did you like the Christmas concert?
Class 2Hop by Ty M. In Social Studies we learn about Iqaluit, Meteghan and Saskatoon and about how they live. In Math we are learning about numbers to 100. In Science we learn about hot and cold. Happy New Year.
Mrs. Quarin is survived by her husband Dennis and four daughters. We will miss her and will continue to be inspired by her courage, her spirit, her insights, her devotion to teaching and her positive outlook on life. We are a better school and better people because of her presence here.
