The text of this piece was initially a tumblr post that I stumbled across as a screenshot online. I was taken by the simple elegance of the metaphor comparing human gender to the ever-changing reality of the natural world. I think now more than ever it is important to spread these messages of love and acceptance throughout the queer community as we see attacks on trans rights throughout the U.S.
