We know the challenges facing young musicians today and students who want to learn to play an instrument like their idols.

We also know the commitment music teachers of this country make every single day to encourage and help foster the love of music in their pupils (sometimes a thankless job!).

It’s not always an easy sell. Today’s kids have so much more to occupy their time and minds than in previous decades; which is all the more reason why we believe it’s time to get back to basics and nuture young minds about the fulfilling journey one begins when learning a musical instrument (and hopefully put down their iPhone).

Musical Merchandisers have been involved with initiatives and programs for music education in schools for many decades. Our company is also the major sponsor of the NSW School Band Festival which is a not-for-profit event held over 2 months each year in Sydney which sees over 10,000 school students performing with more than 350 bands in a non-competitive environment.

We are fiercely dedicated to music education and our ongoing objective to put better instruments and music products into the hands of our youth. We are mindful of the challenges schools and P&C’s face while creating music programs, and keenly aware of the constraints placed by tight budgets in the current economy.
