This recital is presented as a degree requirement for a Bachelor of Music in jazz studies.
Michael Belasco is a guitarist from Manilla, Philippines, where he started playing in high school. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in jazz studies at University of the Pacific.

Heavily influenced by blues, R&B, and soul, before Pacific Belasco studied classical guitar while also performing with the Delta Jazz Ensemble and Delta Jazz Combos at San Joaquin Delta College. He has performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival as well as with various musical groups in the Sacramento region and in the Bay Area. His musical influences include Wes Montgomery, B.B. King, Joe Pass, Jim Hall, Stevie Wonder, and Emily Remler. He hopes to pursue a career in performing and teaching.
