Planning your visit to the Museum of London

A lunch space is also open for picnics during weekends and school holidays.

The museum is fully accessible to buggies and wheelchair users. Lockers can be hired for £1 per use and baby-changing facilities are also available. The Galleries of Modern London include induction loops, Braille panels, touch objects and audio guides for the visually impaired. Please call or visit our website to find out about the facilities that may help you during your visit. Free audio described tours are available for visually impaired adults and some lectures and walks can be BSL interpreted on request. To book please call 020 7001 9844 at least two weeks before your intended visit.

Planned engineering works on the Underground may disrupt your journey so please check www.tfl.gov.uk before you visit. The museum entrance is located on a pedestrian highwalk level. Arriving from St Paul’s and Barbican tube station, there is lift access from street level at St Martin’s Le Grand and Aldersgate Street.

Mudlarks* From Roman settlement to Docklands’ regeneration, this 200 year old warehouse reveals the long history of London as a port through stories of trade, migration and commerce. The museum is free of charge and open all year round so you can come back as many times as you like, leaving you time to enjoy a relaxed, stress-free day out.
