It’s Museo’s 24th birthday! Last December 16, we celebrated Museo Pambata’s 24th anniversary by giving underprivileged children from Manila baranggays and children’s centers an early Christmas celebration through our Gift Giving activity. 1,000 children were invited to a funfilled day, beginning with a tour of the museum, where they enjoyed playing with the interactive exhibits. They proceeded to watch exciting and dazzling performances from Harriet Wharmby, Hertz and Hezron Garde, Bless the Children Foundation, students from CAA Elementary School, Ryu Dance Company from South Korea, Marlee Pabico and Yvette Parcon, and Insiana from Lucban, Quezon. To cap off the festivities, the kids went home with goody bags filled with toys, books, and grocery items from our generous sponsors and donors. A big “thank you” to our donors, performers, volunteers, and museum staff who shared their blessings through our Gift Giving and made it successful! We hope you continue supporting our endeavors and sharing our advocacy for children in the coming years. Museo Pambata opened to the public in December 1994. Since then, the museum has given back to the community through this annual event as both a founding anniversary and Christmas celebration.
