The levels of the pavements between the entrance and Rom A and then between Room A and Room C are very different. We have already seen in the past season that between the rooms A and C there is about m 1, 50. Now, with the new excavation we could see that between the entrance and Room A there are three steps of about 30 cm each, creating 90 cm of difference between the two chambers. (see photos of the three steps).
This differentiation in the levels of the three rooms had a specific purpose, that is emphasize the axiality of the consequence rooms culminating with the upper level of the sepulcrum, visible already from the entrance (see photo below).
