HOW A WATERJET WORKS To over simplify it: water flows through high pressure pump and it is guided through plumbing to cutting head. With a pressure up to 6.200 bar (90.000 psi) even thick materials over 300 mm can be cut precise and cost effective way. With waterjet you do not have to worry about material hardening, deformation or hazardous vapours. Waterjet technology can be divided into two main segments: Pure waterjet cutting for soft materials and abrasive waterjet gutting for hard materials. FinJet provides you these both options in just one machine.

FINJET H-SERIES FinJet H-series is designed for continuous heavy duty water jet cutting. Its modular design enables numerous different variations so that every demanding need can be fulfilled. Hseries can be equipped with several cutting heads including 5- axis bevel cutting units. For 24/7 production a shuttle table is preferred option in order to get most out of the machine.  FINJET H

FINJET L-SERIES FinJet L-series is designed for flexible cutting in all environments. Flying bridge design enables the effective use of the machine from three different sides. L-series water jet cutting machines can be equipped with 1 or 2 cutting heads. Integrating a tube cutting unit is also an option. No matter if you are running a small job shop or producing demanding parts 24/7, with L-series you will be able to correspond all needs of water jet cutting.

FinJet R-series covers wide range of robot integrated water jet cutting systems. Waterjet robot is ideal solution when we are aiming for maximum automation of the cutting process. We have done several robotic applications from standalone robotic cells to fully automated and integrated production lines.


FINJET P-SERIES FinJet’s P-series is water-only water jet cutting machine series. When cutting only soft materials, such as plastic, foam, rock wool, rubber or plywood, abrasive can be left out from the cutting process. This enables faster movements and system can be optimized for pure water cutting.

High pressure pump Neoline 40 hp The NEOLINETM NL-I 40 High Pressure Pump features KMT‘s proven and reliable SSEC intensifier technology in an affordable entry-level product, thus offering a great value at a reasonable price. It is the perfect solution for everyone who is looking for an economical waterjet cutting solution for occasional cutting needs using the best technology the industry has to offer. As the intensifier contains only a small number of wear parts, operating costs are kept low in comparison with conventional pumps. Also contributing to the outstanding economy of the pump is the long service life of the components subject to wear. Costly downtimes are thus virtually eliminated.

High pressure pump SL-VI STD / PLUS With the new series of SL-VI high pressure pumps for waterjet cutting, FinJet will grant the customers an unprecedented choice of configuration possibilities. And while being based on tried and tested technology, the SL-VI comes up with some considerable improvements compared to the predecessor model. The pump units are available in two different power rates (37 and 74 kW) and two pressure levels (STD 3800 bar and PLUS 4136 bar). The improved motor performance of the SL-VI pumps allows for multi input voltages and has been upgraded to IE3 according to the norm EC 640/2009. The new patented Curve-On-Curve Design of the intensifier allows for a longer lifetime of the cylinder body / seal head connection. The optimized geometry of the metal-on-metal seals facilitates the installation and endures more maintenance cycles than conventional technologies. The new top cover guard interlock design meets the EN ISO 13849-1 safety performance standard thus providing increased operational safety when working with the pump.

Ultra High pressure pumps 6200 bar The high pressure pumps of the 3rd generation PRO series have significantly enhanced the productivity and efficiency of the waterjet cutting technology. The innovative high pressure pumps have been designed for both pure water and abrasive waterjet cutting at operating pressures of up to 6,200 bar. With the introduction of the new modular SL-VI series of KMT’s high pressure pumps for waterjet cutting, FINJET offers the ideal technology for every requirement – from occasional cutting needs to multi-shift operation. Depending on the application the pump is needed for, customers can choose from different pressure ranges, motorizations and configuration levels. The new pump model has been optimized for the customer’s benefit. The motor allows for multi input voltages which leads to an optimized motor efficiency. On customer’s choice, the pump can be equipped with an Oil/Water Heat Exchanger or with an il/Air Cooler.

ACTIVE IDE II – Breakthrough in performance and simplicity

The patented tool-free attachment allows for the quick exchange of the water and focusing nozzles without the need to dismantle the abrasive feed hose.

As the cutting head contains a minimum number of individual components, it is particularly easy to handle while producing high-precision cuts.

The unique non-metallically welded nozzle base caters for high precision and repetition accuracy. The AUTOLINE™ II cutting head includes only three wear parts, namely the orifice, the mixing chamber and the focusing tube, which are made from extremely wear resistant materials. The nozzle body consists of an exchangeable insert. If worn, simply replace the mixing chamber. Pure-water cuts can be made with the same orifice, so retooling takes only a few seconds.

Important features are the low maintenance effort, the exact targeted cutting jet, the prefilter protecting the orifice and the advanced nozzle valve design. The diamond orifice and the mixing chamber are combined in a single nozzle body. Abrasive Cutting Heads 6 200 bar ACTIVE AUTOLINE™ PRO Among the outstanding features of ACTIVE AUTOLINE ™ PRO cutting heads are automatic precision positioning, perfect repetition accuracy, high cutting speeds, long service life and easy maintenance. It takes only seconds to replace the few wear parts of the head, such as the orifice, mixing chamber and focusing tube, and no tools are required. In order to keep routine maintenance to a minimum, these parts are made from tough wear-proof materials. The typical features of KMT products based on the innovative approach for efficiency and economy in continuous operation have thus been successfully integrated into the design of the cutting head. ACTIVE AUTOLINE™ PRO cutting heads can be integrated into all waterjet cutting systems with rigid or multiple head connections.

ACTIVE IDE™PRO Improved cutting performance thanks to high precision The ACTIVE IDETM PRO cutting head features a diamond orifice which is firmly integrated into the orifice body. A specially devised manufacturing method ensures that the waterjet is properly aligned at all times and connected to the mixing chamber located below the orifice body. In the mixing chamber, the abrasive is added to the waterjet. The stringent production tolerances for the mounted cutting head guarantee that the cutting jet is always properly aligned along the axis. As the waterjet exits the focusing tube at the correct angle, the power of the waterjet is focused for optimum impact. This allows for maximum cutting speeds at minimum cutting gaps combined with excellent cutting edge quality.


I-HEAD I-HEAD is a 5 axis cutting head suitable for cutting with taper angle and bevel cutting up to 45 degrees. The mechanical TCP (Tools Center Point) allows a flexible and reliable cutting process without using software controlled TCP features. The cutting unit moves gently on the geometry regardless of the cutting angle. It allows precise and easy cutting of welding bevels, chamfers and also true 5 axis cutting with servo controlled Z-axis.

Abrasive feeding system The system is designed for continuous supply of abrasive for the feeder by pressurized air. Pneumatically operated sieve removes oversized particles eliminating the downtimes due to blocked nozzle. The automatic system also monitors the level of abrasive in pressure vessel and automatically fills in when needed. In case of low abrasive level, a warning signal is given to CNC. The automatic system allows long cycle unmanned cutting without an operator. Alternatively a manual system can be used for occasional cutting tasks. The capacity of 200 kg is enough for one day cutting with one nozzle. Compared to automatic system it must be filled manually. The abrasive feeder takes care of precise dosing of abrasive and is installed close to cutting heads. It has a small volume of buffer to allow continuous cutting while the pressure vessel is being filled up. The feeder has sensors for blocked nozzle and abrasive low level to safely stop the cutting if problems occur. Feeding volume can be adjusted by the program or the user.

ďżź The optional automatic abrasive silo allows continuous cutting even up to 80 hours with a capacity of 1500 kg.

The abrasive cutting process uses sand an average of 300 grams per minute for one cutting head, which means 1 ton big bag is enough for 50-60 hours of cutting.
