In 2003 the BLUEZONE was launched as a unique concept for the textile sector and is seen as the key starting point for all denim fairs. Focused in Hall 5 (Zenith Hall) right next door to the MOC are the fabric and accessories trends for the denim and sportswear segment. Meanwhile, approximately 55 of the world’s leading denim weavers, finishers and washers present the latest developments for denim-, street- and sportswear. To the season A/W 11/12, BLUEZONE has started into a new era: with a shortened running time of two days, longer opening hours and a new highquality

// TESTIMONIALS Exhibitor Testimonials at the MUNICH FABRIC START in a Nutshell:
Roland Oberstein, N.I. Teijin Shoji Europe:
Andreas Faerber, CEO of A.M.F. spa:
Barbara Gnutti, ITV Industria Tessile del Vomano (I):
Marco Lucietti, Global Brand Manager of ISKO:
“The discontinuation of Interstoff years ago made room for a new fair and new concept in Germany. Thanks to its early date each season MUNICH FABRIC START managed to make itself indispensable to the German market in a very short time. Anyone wanting to sell today in Germany has to exhibit here. Munich is the most important date for the entire German fashion sector – today already more important than Texworld and PV in Paris.”
“AMF is one of the pioneers at MUNICH FABRIC START and was already presented at the fair when it was still an event for Bavarian trade representatives. The fair particularly makes sense because of its early date – we would even prefer mid-July. Though the date in February is perfect. We use the fair not only to maintain customer contacts but also as a real “working fair“ where new developments are suggested and discussed. Milan or Paris are not options for us (AMF does not exhibit there) as these fairs are too late and too dispersed – we want to work with our customers in a targeted manner.”
“First of all we are extremely intrigued with the way that MUNICH FABRIC START has arranged BLUEZONE. It is a very beautiful presentation area for the collections now. Music and lighting were excellent and the support through the new Trend Book is also perfect. Furthermore, I would like to thank you for the wonderful Oktoberfest where we had a fantastic time. For us, however, two days are very tight.”
“The new BLUEZONE concept has convinced ISKO and we are delighted that we saw more than 50 customers over the two days of the trade fair including such key accounts as Hugo Boss, Mac Jeans, Gardeur, Zerres, Gerry Weber, Esprit and Brax. MUNICH FABRIC START is for us an opportunity to maintain contacts and conclude and fine-tune deals that have been in the pipeline. For this we feel two days makes sense. The mood was generally good at the BLUEZONE, as I also learnt from other exhibitors and customers.”
Kevin Lobo, Creative Director of Boss Black: “I am a big fan of MUNICH FABRIC START. We are represented with over 50 teamsters here”
Norbert Hinderberger, Orta Anadolu (TR): “BLUEZONE by MUNICH FABRIC START will be an even more substantial platform for us in the future. The concept completely matches with our company’s presence that we already redesigned last season. The fair has become more and more important for Orta, so we were encouraged to add another extra for September – with a central and extended stand. Our customers are excited.”
Reiner Knochel, Product/Channel Marketing Manager of the yarn factory Madeira Garnfabrik (DE): “Already after two days we reached the customer numbers this time that we normally reach after three. We are really enthusiastic. Organisation is so helpful, exhibitors’ needs are always catered for and everything runs so smoothly. Plus all the service and atmosphere – just great”.
Panos Sofianos, Royo: “For Royo and Denim Valley, BLUEZONE is the absolutely perfect platform! We have joined it right from the beginning and never missed a season because we like the style and ambiance of MFS very much. The trade fairs are well-organized with functional stands and equipment as basis for exhibitors to be optimally presented. A variety of services is offered and the enjoyable but productive working atmosphere is appreciated by our customers. This multinational platform offers sound trend information at an ideal timing for the denim community to be informed about the latest market developments. That is why BLUEZONE for us is the perfect place to do business with pleasure.”
