New EC songbird ready to launch debut album

SIMBONGILE MDLEDLE A RURAL girl from Lwandile Location in Ngqeleni wanted her presence to be felt in the gospel music industry throughout Mzansi. Noncedo Mfundisi is launching her debut album on December 23 at KwaMbangi Hall in Ngqeleni. Her 10-track album, with the title track, JesuMhlengi wam, is expected to take Mzansi by storm. This new kid on the block in the gospel music industry is confident that she will make it in this industry, as she has a powerful voice that commands attention. She started performing music at an early age in her rural town of Ngqeleni and then moved to Johannesburg for her studies. On this album, she worked with music heavyweights such as Shedrack Ndlovu, Ntobeko Ma-

cozoma and Thulas Mtshali. Mfundisi went to Johannesburg to further her studies, but the opportunity of recording came her way and she grabbed it with both hands. “It’s when I saw that God can take a downtrodden person to another level because I never thought that I would get an opportunity to record my album. Now, I can see that God loves everybody on this earth”, she said. Mfundisi expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported her along the way. She urged her fans to continue supporting her music. “Without them I’m nothing”, she said. Meanwhile, the artists who will be entertaining the audience during the launch include Nyandeni-born gospel singer Ovayo Ndamase, Mpume Mhlanga, Lusanda Mcinga, Pastor Abraham, Popo Gwadiso and many more. The programme starts at 10am and runs until 6pm. Tickets are available at SPAR.
