With convenient evening and weekend classes, our graduate programs are structured to meet the needs of working professionals wishing to advance their careers. Our exceptional faculty takes a student-centered approach to learning in presenting the academically rigorous curriculum of an AACSB-accredited business school. By combining conceptual theory with practical applications, we prepare students for careers as competitive, effective managers. Our MBA, Post-MBA Certificate, and MS in Accounting programs offer opportunities to further your individual academic and professional advancement.

Flexible Schedules Students can earn an MBA in 24 months while attending classes two evenings per week at our Montclair campus, or in as little as 18 months while attending the Saturday MBA program at our satellite location at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft. If you have an undergraduate business degree, the new program enables you to earn a General MBA degree with as few as 37.5 credits. If you don’t, you can earn an MBA by taking an additional 12 credits of required foundation courses.

Our Master of Business Administration program is one of the most innovative in the region, balancing academic rigor, business theory, and practical market relevance. Small classes taught by top-tier faculty combining practical and theoretical expertise Executive speaker series connects classroom education with professional experience Cohort structure lets you progress through the core program with the same group of classmates, forging long-lasting personal and professional relationships A seven- to ten-day international trip spotlights political and cultural conditions in the global economy Innovative 1.5-credit courses provide exposure to a broad spectrum of business areas Option to pursue up to two areas of concentration by completing an additional 6-12 credits of elective coursework


Faculty Our top-tier faculty is as dedicated to your success as you are. Professors at the School of Business are active professionals and thought leaders in their fields. You’ll interact with them in small groups; even our core classes have fewer than 35 students per section. You’ll also engage with them outside the classroom—they advise student clubs and organizations, guide student development activities, encourage student research, and make themselves available for informal meetings.

Advising is a key component of the business school experience at Montclair State. By partnering with professional advisors and faculty mentors, you will successfully chart your journey from student to business professional. Our knowledgeable advisors stay with you every step of the way—from orientation to graduation. In person, on the phone, and through email, they are always available to provide answers to your questions about course selections, graduation requirements, career advice, transfer orientation, dual concentrations, and more. You will also be assigned a faculty advisor in your area of concentration who will help you choose courses that meet your academic and career goals.

Careers The School of Business Career Services Center offers the resources, guidance, and encouragement you need to explore career options, find an internship program, or obtain full-time post-graduate work in your chosen field. Services include career fairs where representatives from top companies conduct interviews on campus, as well as networking seminars, interview practice sessions, resume writing workshops, dining etiquette luncheons, and other programs designed to give you the skills you need to succeed. School of Business graduates have moved into full-time positions at: KPMG, Merrill Lynch, Bayer, Wyndham Worldwide, CNBC, Estee Lauder, Deloitte, New York Life, Enterprise, Hilton Hotels, Ernst & Young, IRS, BASF, and many other leading businesses and non-profit organizations.
