Summer Steady Ready Packets

What’s New in Resource Room? We are quickly settling into another wonderful year of learning. The students have really impressed me with their ability to not only remember the routines and lessons we learned last year, but to learn new things and quickly apply those as well. This weekend, ask your child to teach you the reading strategy of “checking for understanding.” We worked hard on this strategy this week, and we realized how much easier it is for us to remember what we read when we stop every couple of pages and ask “who?” and “what?” Have a great weekend! It was another great year for summer steady ready packets. Nine students from our current first graders to now sixth graders completed their packets and will receive an ICE CREAM reward next week. Congratulations to all those who worked hard in order to keep learning all summer long!
