COMMERCIAL NEWS Swansea
Olchfa school has been quite a challenge, but all the staff there have worked extremely hard and along with Carwyn’s flooring expertise, the school is absolutely delighted with the results. Thanks to all who gave their time to help with the deep cleans too - we couldn't have done it without you. Following that success, we are tendering for Bishop Vaughan school, so plenty more busy times ahead!!
With the summer fast approaching many of us are already booking holidays abroad and are looking forward to sandy beaches, cocktails and topping up the tan! With this in mind, I would like to remind you all of our holiday booking procedure. If you are thinking of taking a break or even a few days to re-energise, please remember the following. You must send a holiday booking form into the office with your proposed dates of absence. ( these can be found in your site handbooks). Additionally, you may also send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Once you have done so, admin staff will then confirm the proposed dates with your operations managers. Until you receive a telephone call, email or text from the office to indicate that your proposed days off have been confirmed, your holidays have not been added to the holiday booking system. Please DO NOT assume that a text to your operations manager or silence from us is enough to constitute a confirmed holiday proposal.
Welcome to our new mobile cleaner Sebastian who joins Enzo covering all your holidays. Please make sure you check with me before booking any holidays as with 74 staff its a job to schedule all the cover.
Further, with the recent sunshine we all have that holiday feeling. However, many members of staff have been changing this feeling into a reality by texting and calling in sick. This has been done at the last minute, which has placed pressure on the management team to cover sickness within a short period of time. Last week, the Cardiff operations team had to cover 50 hours worth of sickness. This degree of sickness and holidays combined is putting a significant strain on the business. If you are off, your absence effects the whole team including: management, supervisors, mobile cleaners and colleagues. Most importantly, our customers and company name are also being effected by this. Next time you are feeling under the weather, think, do I really need the day off? If the answer to this is yes, then ask, have I followed the correct procedure? For those of you who need reminding if this, please refer to your site handbooks.
Hi Swansea Staff! Its been a very busy period for the Swansea area since the last newsletter. In February we won the contract for Olchfa school and had just a week to prepare for the start of the contract. It was all hands on deck!
By the time you read this newsletter, we will either just be about to hold or already have held, our Staff Information Day at Swansea job centre. Its important that everyone comes to this meeting and that's why there are 3 separate sessions through the day. We will be refreshing some of our Company information, explaining the importance of correct product usage and ensuring you know our Company Vision and Values. I'm sure you will find the sessions informative and interesting. You will have a questionnaire to complete on leaving and I welcome all comments.......good or bad! Finally a huge “Welcome” to all new staff joining us this quarter. I hope you enjoy your time with Mrs Bucket. KIM

DOMESTIC NEWS ‘We aim to be the first choice cleaning company in South Wales’ Hi to all our Domestic Goddesses. Well spring has certainly arrived and the sun has made an appearance at last. With the sun streaming in through windows across South Wales, people are beginning to see just how much their house could do with a Spring Clean....and they’re coming in thick and fast!!! So plenty of overtime for those who want it. Let me know if you want to join the team on a Spring Clean. Absence levels—thank you to all of you who have kept the flag flying for domestic. Absence, even if it’s just one day has massive implications to the Domestic Operation, not only infuriating clients, but impedes our ability to move forward in achieving a larger client base, with efforts taken away to reschedule and appease those clients who may have missed a clean or need to have their clean provided on a different day/time. Keep it up, next time YOU could be the lucky winner of a £50 Gift Voucher of your choice in our Absence Rewards Scheme. With regret we wave ‘adios amigos’ to both Vanessa and Caroline...wishing you all the very best of luck in your new jobs from all at Mrs Bucket. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to Mrs Bucket, we shall be sorry to see you leave. New Mobile Cleaner appointment.... Congratulations to Rebecca Jones. Rebecca will have begun her role as our new mobile cleaner mid May and we are delighted to have her on board our supervisory team. Rebecca will be assisting Leann in covering holidays, spot checking and heading up spring clean teams. Don’t forget—Summer is fast approaching and we operate on a first come, first served holiday basis...so get your requests in early. Holidays will only be granted if we can remain operational and continue to provide our clients with their cleans. Finally a huge ‘Welcome’ to Gemma Allan and Kate Peters joining the Domestic Team this May. Keep South Wales sparklingly clean ....The Fantastic Mrs B Domestic Team!!!!
PAYROLL NEWS ARE YOU IN BECAUSE MRS BUCKÉT IS IN?
The NEST (National Employment Savings Trust) workplace pension is coming.... If you’re in work and you haven’t started a workplace pension, there’s good news. The government has created a new initiative to help you build up a pension through your workplace. It requires all employers to enrol their workers into a workplace pension scheme if they are not already in one. And the best news is the setting-up is all done by Mrs Bucket. From 01/10/2014 you’ll be automatically enrolled into our workplace pension scheme if you meet the eligibility criteria. Soon we will send you confirmation via post if you will be automatically enrolled. You can choose to opt out of the scheme if you want to, but if you stay in you will have your own pension which you get when you retire. What’s more, if you stay in, Mrs Bucket will contribute to your pension and the government will too. It’s a hassle free way of saving while you earn.
