Ms Foley will head up a new executive leasing division at Porteous that will deal exclusively with the leasing of properties mainly in the western suburbs. Her aim is to provide owners and tenants with a personalised and individual

service. Ms Foley started working for William Porteous in 2007 and has had various roles throughout the years, culminating as accounts manager for the agency. Born in France, she speaks fluent French and some Spanish, having worked in administration in a variety of locations including London, Paris, Nice, Geneva, Malaga, and Guadeloupe in the French West Indies. “It is an exciting challenge,” Ms Foley said of her new role. “To start a leasing division from scratch takes time so I’m in

tion funds (SMSFs) acquiring real property as part of their investment strategy, often by way of the limited resource borrowing arrangements. Director Andrew Rottigni said prior to the introduction of the limited recourse borrowing arrangement, property

investment via a SMSF was really the domain of those with substantial superannuation entitlements, given that all direct property investments had to be unencumbered. “The new borrowing rules have expanded the number of SMSFs capable of directly investing in

property,” he said.
