The 2020 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is a five-year plan for economic growth, highlighting key focus areas that will move the region towards a more resilient economy. MRCOG took a new approach in this CEDS by looking at the urban and rural communities separately. This CEDS illustrates issues and strategies appropriate to each community. In addition to honoring urban-rural differences, this CEDS identifies unique strengths that emerged in the SWOT exercise and turns them into actionable economic development strategies.
