NAVC Conference 2010 is your source for exotic animal continuing education.

NAVC Conference 2010 Exotic Animal Program Highlights Special Sessions Disease at the Wildlife/Livestock Interface Bovine tuberculosis, brucellosis, Johne’s …These are diseases for which animal producers and veterinarians maintain constant vigilance, and which drive national and international animal health policy. Many of these pathogens also infect free-ranging wildlife. This first-ever special session at NAVC 2010 will bring together world-renowned experts in the field of free-ranging wildlife health to deliver cutting-edge information on diseases shared by livestock species and wildlife, along with updates on other high-profile diseases shared by wild and domestic animals, such as H5N1 avian influenza and viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus of fish. Large animal and wildlife practitioners, as well as regulatory veterinarians and anyone with an interest in hot-topic issues in veterinary medicine today, are encouraged to attend.

“Jungle Love: The Thrilling Sex Lives of Animals”

- NAVC 2009 Exotics Speaker of the Year: Kevin Wright

This R-rated presentation reveals the range of sexual behavior in the animal kingdom proving that there is nothing new under the sun. Did you know some fish change sex? Snails are hermaphrodites? Elks' horns are erogenous zones? Kangaroos are built upside-down? Pick up some interesting facts to share with some of your funnier clients or open conversations at parties.
