A special message from Jackson Rancheria CEO Rich Hoffman Dear Friends of Jackson Rancheria, Earlier this year, as the economy continued to soften we, in an effort to counter those effects, began a program to accept a significant increase in casino bus tours. After careful consideration, thoughtful analysis and a lot of dialog with our guests, we have determined that Rancheria Style™ = No Busses! This decision will be looked at as a bit crazy by the rest of the casino industry, but that’s okay, we’re known for that. When the industry “Old Guard” told us you will never successfully run a casino, and not serve alcohol on the floor...we proved them wrong. When the state would not agree to allow us to offer our guests slot machines that dispensed coins, we

introduced machines that printed a ticket, and now every modern casino in the world uses ticket-inticket-out machines. As other casinos in our market have countered lower volumes of play by “tightening” up their games, our hold percentage has lowered, giving players longer play for their money. So, let’s prove them all wrong again. I will take the investment we were devoting to the bus patrons, and invest it in you, our loyal guests, and all you have to do is come in and play...Rancheria Style™. Cordially,
