What does your job entail? I’m a senior negotiator and that means looking after offers, viewings and feedback after viewings. I also help other negotiators if they have any issues. It’s mainly an officebased role.

Job I am still in my very first job! I started with Halifax Estate Agents when I was 18, and we then rebranded to Your Move where I am now manager.
If you weren’t doing property what would you be doing? If I wasn’t doing this job I’d probably like to get into property investment. If it was nothing to do with property I’d like to remain in sales – it would probably be car sales or something like that. What are you going to do straight after this interview? I’ll be calling somebody about a property and hopefully it’ll lead to a sale!
I have just bought my first house, but we have not yet moved in as we’re getting a few jobs done first. Looking forward to moving in!
HoliDay My first holiday was with all my family in a little village called Salema in Portugal. I still love to go there every year with my boyfriend.
pet A little Yorkshire terrier called Oscar. He used to bite everyone but he was the best!
Day in the life of...
What is your favourite thing about your job? Telling people their offer is accepted after a good negotiation is the best part of the job. What’s your least favourite thing? It is not very enjoyable letting somebody know their offer on a property has fallen through after negotiations.

Meet one of my landlords in South Liverpool to appraise a portfolio of 15 properties which he is looking to take over.

Off to photograph a new property coming on the market for sale.

The maximum value of new or existing homes that can be bought through the second phase of Help to Buy, known as the mortgage guarantee scheme. The government initiative was meant to launch in January 2014 but has now been started three months early.
The number of mortgage applications in August, according to the Bank of England. The figure is the highest in five years. The amount of approvals also rose to 36,225 – the highest since February 2011.
In the three months to September, house prices were this much higher than in the previous quarter. That’s according to the latest Halifax House Price Index, which also shows the prices were 6.2% higher than in the same three months last year.
