Students who need help with math, writing, and other classes can get extra academic support for free from the Academic Support Center. Every Mount student also gets up to 10 free hours of online tutoring per semester through MWCC’s online learning system.

Your associate degree or certificate are marketable credentials that can help you get a job—not just stepping stones toward a bachelor’s degree. If you do decide to continue your education, having a job will make it a lot easier to pay your way through the rest of college or grad school!

You can always catch a game or tournament in the award-winning Bemis Student Center with its interactive gaming stations, big-screen TVs, and ping pong and pool tables.

Our Nurses

ARE AMAZING 93% of our nurses passed the national licensing exam on the first try last year—that’s 9 points higher than the national average. Just as impressive: 100% of our nursing students obtained jobs in nursing within 6 months of graduation.

Our other health care students in Physical Therapy Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Paramedic, and Veterinary Technology are just as impressive!


Transfer as Juniors

You’re right, it’s not going to be an easy A. But you will get to solve tough problems and learn how to research. You will gain these and more skills that prepare you for a bachelor’s degree at an excellent four-year college or university. (STEM: science, technology, engineering, and math)

Design Your Own

FUTURE You will get handson with the latest Adobe Creative Cloud tools right away in our Graphic & Interactive Design program, preparing you for a job even as you continue to learn more about design theory and develop your personal approach to design.



Start right here in our Criminal Justice program then get a job as a community police officer after graduation. If you want to work in federal law enforcement or in a major city, take our Transfer Track, ensuring your credits line up with the state college and university programs, saving you time and money.

Discover Your

PASSION You will gain a strong foundation in acting, music, and dance in our Theatre Arts program. You’ll have the option to be involved with the five full-scale musicals and plays put on by Theatre at the Mount each school year.


on Your Bachelor’s

You will save an average of 28% on the cost of a bachelor’s degree at a state college or university when complete your associate degree with us first. All our Liberal Arts programs contain the core courses for MassTransfer, a statewide initiative that ensures your credits will count when you transfer to a Massachusetts state college or university.

Automotive Technology students get hands-on experience and instruction at MWCC’s six-bay garage in Fitchburg and graduates are well prepared for jobs in the field.

(When You Grow Up!)

You will be mentored by faculty who ask you questions like: do you want to teach in an early childhood center or the public school world? And you’ll take classes that give you enough experience to help you know the answer.

Draw on

OUR SUPPORT As an art major, you will be mentored by our caring faculty of professional artists and will build strong fine art skills in painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking.

You’ll work in large studios with plenty of space, large gas and electric kilns, bronze casting equipment, and printing presses. Plus you’ll fire some of your ceramic work outdoors.
