Thirty minutes of wheel-time in the CLS55 AMG was all it took to understand that this car means all business. With a 5.5Ltr 470hp engine roaring, this benz was all that a businessman turned city cruiser turned party animals turned car maniac needs. It has power as well as luxury. It can fit in any mood, whether you feeling all classy or if you feeling like pushing it. So exactly what were thinking when they made a 2-ton sedan with so much power. Were they trying to compete with a Ferrari or a Porsche? Answer is not really. They wanted there clientele to have a feeling of driving a sports car combined with a luxury family vehicle. The CLS55 rockets off the line, reaching 100kmh in only 4.8 seconds The Interior already resemble a designers furniture. Once you inside the, the leather trim wraps around thickly bolstered sport seats; they're 10-way adjustable, heated, and offer three-way memory. To add the icing on the cake a matte-finished wood trim can be noticed too. The trend toward more natural-looking wood is spreading, and we're all for it, as it brings out the material's grain and keeps it from looking like well-rendered plastic. A six-stacker CD cleverly hidden behind the ac control panel and high beams that can pin Skippy at several hundred metres. Automatic air, an alarm, metallic paint, cruise control with speed limiter, a sunroof and DVD navigation/ player/TV tuner are also standard. Long distances in the power-adjustable AMG driver's chair are an absolute pleasure. The same goes for the back stalls, which are comfortable and supportive for two. You have to duck and weave under the low roof to manoeuvre your body and feet into the car but, once you're in there, space (with headroom up to 180cm or so) and comfort are superior to any two-door coupe I can think of.
