Are you seeking a gratifying job in an industry critical to the welfare of all people? If so, earn your degree in agriculture. The Agriculture Pathways Partnership, made up of Missouri State University (MSU) and other community colleges, allows you to earn a bachelor’s degree in as little as two years. GENERAL STUDIES Design a degree that fits your needs, interests and long-term goals through this interdisciplinary program—you can take the required 45 credit hours in two or three different areas of study. ELEMENTARY EDUCATION Interested in teaching grades 1-6? Attend classes, participate in field experience, and perform your student teaching all within the West Plains area to complete this degree. Graduate from a program that has a high rate of placement immediately following graduation.

Provide K-12 students with the life skills they need when you earn your CACREP accredited counseling degree and become a school counselor. Gain real world experience completing your practicum at the clinic in West Plains with live supervision from faculty. Students without a Missouri teaching certificate may also apply to this program and will be eligible for state certification as a professional school counselor with the completion of 9 hours of additional education coursework. EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION Ready for a career in school administration? Earn your master’s degree (MS) and/or specialist degree (EdS) in the greater West Plains area through Missouri State. Get ready to participate in district/building projects and clinical experiences extending over 24 months. EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP – DOCTORATE The field of education needs great leadership. Through this collaborative degree program between Missouri State and the University of Missouri (MU), discover courses that will bring you closer to your leadership goals. Spend a few weeks each summer taking courses at the MU campus. The remainder of the required course work is available in West Plains and online. SOCIAL WORK If your passion is to help others, gain your degree in social work from Missouri State. Attend evening classes Monday through Thursday at our West Plains campus. Offered in two formats, one 34 credit hour format for students with a current accredited BSW degree, and one 62 credit hour format for students who have a bachelor’s degree in an area other than social work.
