HI-TECH < 6 Samsung Galaxy S4 review:

Nokia Lumia 920 review:

The everything Windows Phone’s phone for most powerful (almost) everyone handset yet

The good: The Samsung Galaxy S4 has Android 4.2.2, a fantastic camera, a powerful quad-core processor, and software solutions for just about every scenario -- including working as a TV/DVR remote. It’s also comfortable in hand and has NFC, a user-replaceable battery, and a microSD storage slot. The bad: Its screen is dimmer than competitors’, its plastic design gives it a cheaper look than its rivals, and we found the Galaxy S4’s power button turned on at undesirable times. Not all camera modes work as promised, and a long list of software features can quickly overwhelm and confuse. The bottom line: Its laundry list of features require time and effort to truly master, but the Galaxy S4 is the top choice for anyone looking for a bigscreen, do-everything smartphone.

The good: The Nokia Lumia 920 forges new Windows Phone ground with wireless charging support and a highly sensitive screen you can use with gloves. Moreover, Nokia helps fill in Windows Phone OS gaps with a few missing features. The bad: A thick, heavy build and slippery finish for some colors make the Lumia 920 harder to hold and carry, and the phone’s overhyped camera doesn’t have enough settings. The bottom line: Nokia’s Lumia 920 is heavy and thick, but if you want the most powerful, feature-rich Windows phone available, this is it.

Jinja marks the point where Africa’s longest River Nile, starts its 6,500km journey to the north via Sudan & Egypt up to the Medditerrian Sea. It is worth pay a visit if you consider how many years it took John Speke to explorer the source of Nile. The spot also boasts the Mahatma

Only a few years ago, most of us thought that grooming was only for ladies because truthfully every single female that struts the earth wants to keep looking young and sexually appealing for as long as she lives. Women feel insecure about their jiggly thighs, sagging breasts, pimples and unwelcome wrinkles. However, men are becoming just as obsessed with their looks as women, these days they also have some factors they are insecure about and that’s not such a bad thing. The current generation is more conscious about their appearance and has graduated from being admirers of beauty to being good looking themselves. Gone are the days where you found only a shaving cream, soap and after shave lotion as men’s facial make up needs. So the ground now has been leveled and everyone wants to look good regardless of whether you’re male or female. These days’ men are willing to use cosmetics to improve their overall look without worrying that their ‘macho’ image might be questioned. Here are grooming tips to help you stay at the top of your game; The skin of men is naturally oilier with larger pores and is thicker and rougher with copious hair growth. So an appropriate skin care routine is needed for men. To begin with, men should realize that proper skin care isn’t going to occupy hours of their busy day. A few minutes a day is all that is necessary. “It should be noted that a smooth face doesn’t start and end with shaving cream. Learn to use pre and post shave products.” Says Lillian Abimanya a beautician at Dash beauty shop in Bweyogerere. She adds that these products should also factor in beard growth needs. What you put on your face has to match to your specific skin condition.

Dandruff isn’t a good look on anyone especially men. Product build up, a dry scalp, and even stress are just a few reasons why flaking occurs so make sure to rinse out your hair with specialized shampoos so as to keep this problem under wraps. A routine of applying moisturizer can have a dramatic impact on the skin’s overall look and feel. According to Lillian; “Application of a moisturizer on face and neck is a must especially after shaving. Apply lotion within a few minutes after showering when skin is more accepting of moisturizers.” She says Vitamin E serves as a good moisturizer. Specially formulated men’s moisturizer is best. No one wants to look so old in their 20s and 30s so start taking care of your skin now. So that even in your 50s you still look young and handsome. Drink lots of water to keep dehydrated, wear sunglasses to prevent sun damage and use eye creams to prevent premature wrinkling. Fight those beer bellies by visiting the gym often. And on your way to the gym pack a pair of flip-flops in your bay to wear in the showers to keep your feet clean and dry especially in between your toes. This will help your feet from stinking. If they are already stinking, don’t worry because there are medicated powders and creams you can use to help heal the infection, If you can smell your own cologne then it is an indication that you have too much on. Get a cotton ball with water and gently reduce on the cologne. For those who grow beards avoid using bar soap to clean it. It will make your beard look dirty. Use a hair conditioner instead because the ingredients will wash away bacteria and instantly soften your beard. Make sure to always pat dry with a towel.

Efya Awindor thrills Kampala Uganda jazz lovers finally got to experience a combination of traditional Yoruba music, Afro soul, highlife, funk, and chanted vocals, fused with percussion and vocal styles from the extremely talented and self-styled “Afro-Electric African Soulstress” Efya Awindor during the long awaited TML 100 Club Jazz Concert held at the Serena Hotel on the 26th of April. With special appearances from Uganda’s very own Pragmo and the self-taught saxophonist Isaiah Katumwa, jazz lovers were extremely thrilled in a night that was filled with contemporary Afro Soul and Jazz in an exclusive setting.

Chameleon Sets Kampala Ablaze with Badilisha Album Launch Uganda’s top artist, Jose Chameleon made history as he launched his eagerly anticipated and record 14th album dubbed “Badilisha” in style with a massive gig that was thronged by thousands of his fans from across East Africa. The Kyadondo Rugby club grounds were packed to capacity on Friday with more than 10,000 revelers present to witness the launch that had been hyped for months on end making it the biggest local concert yet in Uganda’s history.
