Wedding Night Bliss the Inn at St. Albans

The Inn at St. Albans is just 10 minutes west of Chesterfield but looks and feels like the European countryside. Rolling hills overlooking the Missouri River, gorgeous gardens and walking trails truly transport you to another time and place. This historic property underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation and reopened just this May with an outdoor pavilion, secret rooftop garden and a vineyard. Another significant addition is the four charming guest cottages at The Old Barn Inn. The cozy cottages are beautifully appointed and each has a fireplace, front porch and side patio. Tucked in the back of the property for privacy, the cottages still have sweeping views of the hills and beauty of St. Albans. The Studio Inn has six bedrooms, a billiards room and a stunning view from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the great room. The Master Suite includes a huge bathroom, and the Bridal Suite offers a unique vanity/armoire that’s perfect for removing your wedding day makeup. “The entire Studio Inn is available to be rented out to one group or family,” said event coordinator Sarah Brown. “In addition to being a great place for individual couples to stay, renting the whole house is ideal for bridesmaids, the groomsmen or visiting family.” Those renting the entire Inn have access to the new gourmet kitchen. A bottle of wine and breakfast is included with both the cottages and the rooms at the Studio Inn. Guests of The Inns can take advantage of the amenities at the nearby Country Club of St. Albans, including the golf course, pool and tennis courts, as well as the Club’s dining rooms. Have a canine friend who is missing you after all the wedding comings and goings? The Inns is a dogfriendly property and even stocks unique dog toys and treats at its boutique.

the Reserve at Augusta Less than 40 miles from St. Louis, is The Reserve at Augusta. This quaint cottage is located in the heart of the delightful town of Augusta, Missouri. This cottage has two working fireplaces, a large living room area, bedroom, bathroom and a small kitchen. There is also an outdoor patio with comfy furniture for winding down. The Reserve Guest Cottage is walking distance to two of Augusta’s reputable wineries, a microbrewery and inviting shops and restaurants. Several other wineries are a short driving distance away, and the Katy Trail is nearby for a casual stroll or a bike ride along the Missouri River. Two five-bedroom homes for wedding parties and groups (such as bachelorette parties) are also offered at The Reserve at Augusta. Though it’s a self-contained unit, Krista Peasel, a property manager there, says “We can help with special requests, if given notice. It’s a great place for just the two of you, with privacy, but in the heart of the charming town of Augusta.” ♥ for more info: www.hotelignacio.com www.cheshirestl.com www.fourseasons.com/stlouis.com www.magnoliahotels.com www.innsatstalbans.com www.thereserveataugusta.com
